Changes in behavior
This topic describes behavior that differs from previous Tungsten Capture releases.
Web deployment phase out
Tungsten Capture web deployment is being deprecated (phased out).
AES replaces Triple DES
Tungsten Capture has switched from using Triple DES to AES for encrypting data. This is applied (but not limited) to:
Database password
Local user's password
Export connector password (if stored in the Tungsten Capture database)
During a product upgrade, the old credentials are upgraded to the new algorithm.
ASLR and CFG security options enabled
Tungsten Capture modules are now compiled with the ASLR and CFG security options enabled.
Permission requirement during product installation has been removed
Tungsten Capture has removed the permission requirement to access the database instance level (SQL Server) during product installation.
Upgrade of OmniPage CSDK
OmniPage CSDK is updated to version 22.2.0.2.
Upgrade of VRS Elite
VRS Elite is updated to version 5.3.0.5.
Support for Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 productivity applications are now supported in Tungsten Capture. For example, you can load .DOCX Word documents in Capture interactive modules.
