For Robots, this new step securely retrieves a secret from the Vault and stores it in a variable. This step accesses sensitive data without disclosing it.

Robots stored in local projects cannot access services provided by the Management Console, such as secrets stored in the Vault. In Design Studio, place the robot in a shared project to use the Lookup Secret step.

Before your Robots can retrieve secured information, the Management Console administrator must configure the target system, secrets, and robot access in the Vault.
