Capture enhancements
Capture enhancements include the following updates.
Improved OCR zones highlighting in the Validation activity
In earlier releases, in the Validation activity, when table data was extracted from intelligent automation using a prompt in TotalAgility, some information was captured from the row, and some from the document header or footer. This caused OCR zones to overlap, leading to loss of opacity and degraded visibility of the image data.
The OCR zone highlighting is improved in this release, ensuring the information on the image is readable, regardless of the OCR zone location.
Send documents to Online Learning as an asynchronous task
In earlier releases, when a manual Capture activity was completed, any documents marked for Online Learning were synchronously sent to the Online Learning folder. This mechanism sometimes cause latency with multiple users accessing the shared Online Learning folder concurrently.
In this release, when the operator completes either a Document review or Validation activity, documents targeted for Online Learning can be copied to a new "root" folder in the document database and asynchronously sent for Online Learning, improving usability.
Ability to always perform OCR
The new Force OCR property in the OCR activity configuration enables performing OCR even when a text layer is already included for the document's pages.
Other Capture enhancements
Other Capture enhancements include:
The lasso snippet function for multi-field and mini viewer is extended. Use the new SelectedFieldName property in the Capture composite controls in combination with the LassoDrawn event and the UpdateDocumentFieldPosition SDK method to update the field's mini viewer with the selected image snippet.
The new Save document source file with option enables saving downloaded documents with their source file names instead of the document ID.
The new Allow empty rejection reason property in a Document review form enables a document to be rejected without providing a rejection reason. If this setting is cleared, a rejection reason must be entered before the document can be rejected; otherwise, a warning is displayed.
In a Capture activity, all folders are collapsed by default. If you enable the new Expand folders by default option in Customize layout menu, folders are expanded automatically when you open the activity.
While undocked, the main browser window and the Image Viewer remain synchronized. For example, when lassoing in the Image Viewer on a different monitor, the corresponding field in the main application is updated. Focus may automatically return to the main window following such interactions. However, focus transfer between windows is browser-dependent and may not be supported in all environments.
Multi-screen undock with manual movement is supported by Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge; Opera and Firefox do not support it.
Reporting retention runs at 00:00 by default. You can configure it to Run each day at a specified time in hours, minutes, and seconds (UTC). The system performs daily data retention according to the defined schedule. For on‑premise multi-tenant and Azure environments, this helps align retention processing with regional operational windows and reduce business-hour impact.
The GetDocument API is enhanced to return, in a single response, field bounding box coordinates for the TotalAgility processed image, page number, page size, and DPI (resolution), reducing API calls and integration effort.
