IDP enhancements

You can define classification confidence, extraction accuracy, validators that use business rules, and import files from a local drive configured from DocAI Studio.

Extraction accuracy

The DocAI Studio user can determine the quality of the solution's extraction design by calculating extraction accuracy for a single document type, or the entire solution.

Users can select documents to assess extraction accuracy; the system compares the expected and extracted results and provides clear visual feedback.

An overview of the set of fields for each document type is displayed in the Extraction Accuracy Details window. The extraction accuracy results help users identify which fields work well and which require effort to improve extraction.

The solution-level extraction accuracy and the most recent calculated timestamp are displayed on the Manage Solutions page. This makes it easier to review the accuracy scores for each solution and evaluate their quality effectively.

Business rules in validators

In addition to preconfigured, imported business rules already available for configuring field validators, DocAI Studio users can define single and multi-field validators that use business rules. Additional business rules can be created in TotalAgility Advanced Studio.

Under the Fields tab, the new Field validation rules button on the header toolbar for each document helps configure and manage business rule-based validation rules.

Generative AI classification and extraction confidence

Generative AI classification and Copilot for Extraction are improved to return meaningful classification and extraction confidence. The new Minimum confidence setting helps in specifying the minimum confidence for considering a classification or extraction result valid, indicating the true reliability of content and improving the system’s usability and trustworthiness.

Set the minimum classification confidence can be set at either location:

• In Transformation Designer: Project Settings > Classification tab.

• In DocAI Studio: Settings > Processing > Classification group.

File import support

DocAI Studio users can configure import settings to upload files from their on-premise local network.

• TotalAgility on-premise users can configure Import settings directly under the Settings menu within DocAI Studio, with import operations running entirely within the local environment.

• In a tenant environment, they need access to the Tungsten TotalAgility Integration Server and Message Connector to facilitate file import from their network to the cloud-deployed TotalAgility.

Document conversion option

DocAI solutions include an option to add a Document Conversion activity to the workflow to support multi-page document import.

Users select a document conversion profile to convert imported documents into a standardized format.

By default, DocAI Studio includes two preconfigured profiles: Default - PDF and Default - TIFF. Use TotalAgility Advanced Studio to add more profiles.

DocAI SDK

A new DocAI SDK is available to support DocAI Studio solutions programmatically. The SDK supports creating a solution, defining document types, adding training and test sample documents, configuring LLM-based classification, and defining Auto Extract fields and descriptions. No other field types are supported.

• IDocAISolutionService (Non-Streaming Service): Handles non-streaming operations such as creating folders and saving solutions.

• IDocAISolutionStreamingService (Streaming Service): Handles streaming operations, specifically for uploading training documents.

Once created, the solution is published and maintained in DocAI Studio.
