The following are the enhancements to TotalAgility Apps.
Quick Apps restyling
Quick Apps is restyled to offer an enhanced look and feel, including a larger title, increased spacing between menu items, background gradient, a separate card for a link to TotalAgility Workspace, and more.
Retention period for deleting documents
In Quick Workflow and DocAI Studio, you can set the retention period for processed documents, so they persist for a given timeframe before being permanently deleted. At runtime, the activity for deleting documents remains on hold until the specified number of days has passed.
This capability is useful to give others time to view/export the documents within the job/case.
Enhancements to Quick Workflow
Quick Workflow is enhanced to support the following capabilities.
Additional Capture activities
Additional Capture activity types (Verification, Scan, Image processing, and Delete) are added to Quick Workflow to ensure a more complete solution. For improved user experience, all Capture activities are grouped under Capture.
Support for Azure blob storage export activity
The Azure blob storage export activity is supported in Quick Workflow to allow the contents of the folder and field data to be exported to Azure Blob Storage.
Support for Folder and Document variables
You can use Folder and Document variables in the supported activities of Tungsten TotalAgility Quick Workflow processes. For example, in a Loop activity, you can loop through the documents within a folder or use a document variable or fields to process individual (single) documents rather than a folder (batch). The activity accepts a folder as an input source and returns each document found, which is useful for small-scale document processing.
Enhancements to DocAI Studio (formerly Quick Capture)
Quick Capture is renamed to DocAI Studio, and any references to the Quick Capture solution are changed to DocAI solution.

Document Library support
DocAI Studio supports access to the Document Library, and users can add predefined document types that already include all fields needed for extraction.
New volume license
A new volume license for "premium doc types" is introduced. The volume is decremented when the document is processed, if the user has selected a premium doc type.
Enhancements to DocAI Studio
DocAI Studio includes several enhancements.
The Solution Documents menu is renamed to Documents and includes the following enhancements:
Classification testing: Document types have two sections, Training Documents and Test Documents. Use the test documents to test the classification results based on the training documents. Adjust your training document to improve classification results.
Extraction testing: The same test documents used to test classification are available for testing extraction if table extraction is enabled. After testing, the test results are displayed on the Fields and Table tabs.
The Field Extraction menu is renamed to Fields and includes the following enhancements:
Automatic table extraction: Enable table extraction for configurable document types to include tables in the extraction results. The table extraction results are displayed alongside fields on the Tables tab.
Test results pane: Each document type on the Fields tab has a pane that displays the extraction results for fields and tables.
Display table fields in the test results pane: Table field extraction results are available on the test results pane.
Bulk editing of fields: In DocAI Studio, a new option allows adding or editing several fields (name and description) simultaneously, before the results are updated. This option helps expedite the field setup and avoid unnecessary costs caused by calling the LLM every time a field is added or changed.
Validator support: Users can select existing validation rules for individual fields on both configurable and predefined document types.
Validation and formatting in extraction results: Any formatting and validation are applied during extraction for both the configurable and predefined document types. The original and formatted text, and any validation messages, are displayed when you move the pointer over the field on the image or its extracted data circle.
The User Operations menu is renamed to Steps and includes the following enhancements:
New steps: PDF Generation and Delete are added.
Export channels: DocAI Studio supports export via manual download, REST API, or Azure Blob Storage.
PDF activity: You can incorporate PDF generation into your solution and output documents in a more suitable format for end users. TotalAgility provides two out-of-the-box PDF generation profiles, Compressed PDF and Uncompressed PDF, for use within the PDF activity.
Solution properties are moved to the Settings menu, which includes the following enhancements:
JSON export: Users can configure document export to use JSON with extracted fields and raw OCR results. They can also choose whether to merge all documents into a single file or multiple files.
Import channels: DocAI Studio supports import via scan/file upload, REST API, or Azure blob storage. Two default Separation profiles, "Separate into single-page documents" and "Separate at any Barcode," are added.
Embedded workflow editor: The generated workflow is visible and editable.
Improved image loading and performance: Document images are cached when initially loaded, improving performance when navigating between previously visited images.
DocAI Studio usability enhancements
The following enhancements improve the DocAI Studio user experience:
You can provide a description and an icon for your solution, which are reflected on the card in the Apps page of the Workspace upon publishing the solution.
Under the Rescan step, the options to rescan after Classification and after Extraction are removed. These options are still shown if you edit a solution where they were already enabled.
When you publish a solution and rescan is enabled, the process map uses branching rules on the manual step to determine if the rescan activity is needed and allows only one rescan activity if rescan is turned on. This enhancement makes the process more readable and removes the decision nodes.
When you edit or rename your solution and publish it, the underlying process name is updated to the same name as the solution, to keep the versions in sync and avoid confusion.
Usability improvements for DocAI Studio test results help simplify and optimize the Capture setup. A new panel lists all fields and their extracted results, and selecting any field in the document viewer takes you to the respective page where the field was extracted.
The document viewer is enhanced to be more intuitive:
A scrollbar is available if the entire image does not fit in the viewing area.
When panning the image with the Shift key pressed, the pointer changes to a pan cursor.
A "Fit to width" button is added beside "Best fit."
If you accidentally start to draw a rectangle, pressing the Esc key cancels the action.
