Transformation enhancements

The following are the new and enhanced Transformation features.

Optimized OCR segmentation

The order in which the individual text segments are read occurs from the top left to the bottom right of a page and precedes the analysis of the lines on that page. This change in how text segments are read improves the overall extraction results.

Improved project conversion

Transformation Converter now supports the conversion of formatters and validation rules. The following are now converted:

  • Scripted formatters as created in the Project Settings.

  • Validation rules and their validation methods as configured in the Project Settings; only the validation rules in the project class are not converted. If multiple validation rules use the same validation method, multiple copies of that method appear in the extraction group.

Federated security for Transformation Converter

Federated security is supported to log into the Transformation Converter, enabling access to TotalAgility, Transformation Designer, and Transformation Converter through a single authentication method.

Extraction improvements to manage fields based on checkboxes

Copilot for Extraction expands the types of documents that customers can automate by recognizing fields based on checkboxes, which is critical for forms, loan applications, and similar documents, enabling broader automation, improved straight-through processing, and reduced manual work.

Checkboxes are pre-detected and included in the data sent to the large language model. So, the users can define or describe checkbox fields. For example, LoanPurpose - the purpose of the loan, or IsRefinance - Yes/No, indicating whether the loan is intended for refinancing.

Upgrade Tungsten OmniPage

Transformation enhancements include the latest Tungsten OmniPage upgrade that supports MRZ and MICR detection, noise removal, barcode recognition, and the handling of missing underscores in labels.
